Ruby’s Pizzeria & Grill is a locally owned restaurant in Logan, Utah, known for its home-style cooking inspired by the owner’s mother, Ruby Jean. The brand blends a warm, rustic feel with a modern edge that fits the surrounding college town.

My role was to take their outdated, single-column menu and redesign it into a cleaner, more scannable format that better reflected the restaurant’s identity. To do this effectively, I traveled to Utah and met with the owner, managers, and frontline staff to understand how customers interacted with the menu, what dishes needed emphasis, and where pain points existed in the ordering process.

Using those insights, I restructured the menu layout, refined the hierarchy, and clarified category organization to make the ordering experience more intuitive. The final design is visually cleaner, easier to navigate, and better aligned with the restaurant’s personality and workflow.
